kremlin Trying to Buy Ammunition in the Republics of Central Asia for Soviet Artillery Systems

The kremlin is trying to use the resources of Central Asian countries in the war against Ukraine. First of all, the russian federation is interested in the possibility of replenishing stocks of soviet ammunition and spare parts for military equipment. Recently, the federal service for military-technical cooperation of the russian federation has addressed to the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Tajikistan with a request to give the 220-mm rockets for the ‘Urahan’ MLRS. The russians are also interested in ammunition for the 203-mm self-propelled artillery system ‘Pion’ and UTD-20 engines for BMP-1 (IFV-1) and BMP-2 (IFV-2), which are stored in large quantities in military warehouses in Tajikistan.

Retired servicemen and employees of the Tajikistan Ministry of Internal Affairs have been receiving offers to sign a contract with the armed forces of the russian federation and to take part in the war against Ukraine.

A recruitment campaign is launching in the Kyrgyz Republic. Messages with offers to sign contracts with the russia’s armed forces or with one of the private military companies are sent in the chat of alumni of the Bishkek Higher Military School. The similar recruitment messages are distributed throughout the republic in professional chat rooms of former servicemen and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
