After the abduction of Ukrainian children from the occupied territories, russia is trying to deprive them of their Ukrainian identity. About fifty special programs are operating on the territory of the aggressor state to reprogram the minds of Ukrainian children and youth.

This was stated by Vadym Skibitskyi, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, during the forum “Genocidal Practices of the russian federation in Ukraine: from the Holodomor to the russian-Ukrainian War”.

According to him, the return of children abducted by russia to Ukraine is an extremely difficult process.

“The removal of our children began allegedly for rest, treatment, or education, but then they were transferred to russian families to be fully assimilated into russian propaganda, into russian society. [...] It is very difficult to release Ukrainian children. We return only a few: every child has to be pulled out of the clutches of this three-headed dragon,” said Vadym Skibitskyi.

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, together with other state bodies, is collecting all possible facts about russia's crimes against Ukrainian children.

Vadym Skibitskyi also reminded that to inform the Ukrainian society and the international community, the War and Sanctions portal has a section “Child Kidnappers”, which contains data on the perpetrators of these genocidal practices of Russia.
