The United States Congress agreed on a defence budget for 2020 in the amount of $738 billion, which in particular includes the allocation of $300 million for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including for lethal defensive weapon.

Among other things, the proposed fiscal 2020 Congress imposes sanctions related to Russia’s Nord Stream 2 and TurkStream pipelines.

It is expected the budget will be approved till the end of this year.
