Ukrposhta has presented a limited edition of postage stamps dedicated to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine’s “Kraken” active action unit.

The special redemption ceremony took place on October 22, 2024, in Kyiv with the participation of the commander of the Kraken Special Forces unit with the call sign Alpha, officers of Kostiantyn Nemichev’s Special Forces unit and an officer with the call sign Chili, the leadership of the DIU’s Department of Active Action and Chief Executive of Ukrposhta Ihor Smelianskyi.

The stamps depict a special forces officer and one of Kharkiv’s symbols, the Mirror Stream gazebo-fountain.

The creators of the stamp set, issued as part of the “Vlasna Marka” project, highlighted the important contribution of the “Kraken” special forces unit to the defence of Kharkiv and the region during the war against the russian occupiers.

The collection stamp was issued in a limited symbolic edition of 972 copies – the number of days a large-scale war lasts at the time of the presentation.
