By the ruling of Iziaslav Town Council session, a number of the town’s streets are to be renamed in honor of perished ATO participants. In this manner Iziaslav inhabitants eternized the memory of their countrymen: reconnaissance man Oleksandr Kushniruk, artillery reconnaissance man Yurii Tsisaruk, Special Forces man Vasyl Koberniuk and infantryman Mykola Mykytiuk.

Iziaslav is a city which has been famous for its reconnaissance men and military traditions for a long time. Intelligence officer Hero of Soviet Union Oleh Onishchuk, who perished during the Afghan war of 1979–1989, is buried here. At different times, the Heroes of Ukraine Yevhenii Zelenskyi and Oleksandr Petrakivskyi lived and studied in Iziaslav, who became true legends in defending Ukraine from Russian military aggression.
