“I Lost a Limb and My Sworn Brother Not in Order to Abandon Everything”

Three years ago, 24-year-old reconnaissance man Roman Kashpur lost his leg as a result of being blown up a mine at the front. But that didn't stop him from setting records. In Kharkiv, where he had lived earlier, he has moved a 16-ton An-26 aircraft from its place at a competition and dragged it 6 meters. He has won four gold medals at the Hero Games.

“A person can run away from everything, but he cannot run away from his own conscience. Why did I go to the front and start all this, lost a limb, why did I bury so many sworn brothers – in order to abandon these all?” Roman Kashpur said.

Roman strives to be an example not only for his two sons, but also for those soldiers who had to survive severe wounds. The reconnaissance man convinces: only self-belief and strength of spirit will help to cope with any physical disability. And he believes in our army and his sworn brothers just as strongly.
