On October 31, 2025, a special operation by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) turned off a critical military facility inside russia. The “Koltsevoy” oil pipeline supplied the russian occupying army with fuel for its genocidal war against Ukraine.
The target — located in the ramensky district of the moscow region — was heavily protected by an anti-drone system and armed security units, but that did not prevent the strike.
All three main lines, used to transport gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel, were successfully and simultaneously destroyed, rendering the pipeline completely inoperable.
Following the explosions, russian special services and repair crews rushed to the site.
This successful DIU operation on russian territory delivers a significant blow to the aggressor’s military capabilities and its economy, particularly in the moscow region.
The “Koltsevoy” main oil pipeline, stretching 400 kilometers, received fuel from the ryazan, nizhny novgorod, and moscow refineries. Each year, it was capable of pumping up to 3 million tons of jet fuel, 2.8 million tons of diesel, and 1.6 million tons of gasoline.
This strike is another example of Ukraine’s “sanctions pressure in action”, described by DIU Chief Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov.
“In fact, our strikes have had more impact than international sanctions ever did. That’s a simple mathematical truth. Through direct action, we’ve inflicted greater damage on russia than any economic measures imposed so far,” Budanov emphasized.
The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reminds: every war crime committed against the Ukrainian people will be met with just retribution.
Glory to Ukraine!
