74 Families of Perished ATO Participants Received Public Insignia “Order of ATO Warrior’s Mother”

Through the initiative and joint efforts of ATO participants, volunteers, jewelers, designers and producers a public insignia “Order of ATO Warrior’s Mother” was designed last year. The insignia is awarded to the mothers of ATO warriors who raised worthy citizens, defenders of their native country.

The above-mentioned insignia was recently awarded to 74 mothers of perished defenders of Ukraine from 16 districts and 5 towns of Zhytomyr region in historical-culture complex Museum Castle “Radomysl”. Among the awardees are several mothers of perished reconnaissance men from a separate reconnaissance battalion.

In addition to the awarding ceremony an excursion in the “Radomysl” Museum Castle was organized for the mothers. During the meeting, Zhytomyrskyi and Ovrutskyi Bishop of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Kyiv Patriarchy Paisii conducted a Requiem service. Mother who lost their sons in ATO zone prayed with him for the perished warriors.
