Ukrainian Defence Intelligence Specialists Showcase russian Weapons Components to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney
August 27, 2025

During a special event attended by the President of Ukraine and foreign ambassadors, specialists from the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine briefed Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on the technologies russia's military-industrial complex used in its drones and missiles.

Among the displayed items were machine vision and artificial intelligence systems, lidars, CRP antennas, mesh modems, and other components, along with downed russian UAVs such as the Shahed and Delta.

Most of the showcased components are of Western and Chinese origin, highlighting russia's defense industry's critical dependence on imported equipment and technologies.

"Coordinated international efforts are essential to prevent sanctions evasion and increase pressure on the aggressor state," emphasized Shyfr, a DIU serviceman.

International partners were also introduced to the War&Sanctions analytical platform — a digital tool designed to track the use of Western-made components in russian weapons and counter sanctions evasion schemes.

The platform's Weapons Components section is regularly updated with newly discovered items studied by DIU specialists and independent research experts.

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine continues to expose the secrets of russian weaponry, identify critical components and supply chains, and strengthen international pressure aimed at limiting russia's capacity to sustain its war.

Glory to Ukraine!
