Thanks to a carefully planned operation, carried out by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine in coordination with the Office of President of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as of April 26, 2023, 91 Ukrainians have been already evacuated from the war-torn Sudan.
As part of the rescue operation, Ukrainian intelligence officers and diplomats also helped 51 foreigners to leave Sudan: citizens of Georgia, Canada, Peru and the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
A chartered flight of the Ukrainian airline Sky Up with 64 Ukrainians, who expressed a desire to return home, has just landed at the airport in Poland. Soon, the Ukrainians rescued by the DIU employees will cross the Ukrainian state border.
The evacuation from the African country continues. Ukrainians who need to be rescued because of the danger to life and health in Sudan will be provided with urgent assistance by official representatives of Ukraine.
We will not leave our citizens in danger, wherever they are!
Glory to Ukraine!
