More russian mercenaries from Africa have been eliminated in the war against Ukraine — Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has published the stories of two citizens of the Republic of Cameroon whose bodies were found on the Lyman and Zaporizhzhia fronts of the russian-Ukrainian war.
The first is Ngouloure Ibrahim Nkite, born March 10, 2003, a resident of Douala, Wouri Department.
Nkite arrived in the aggressor state, russia on February 9, 2026. As early as April 4, in the city of oryol, the Cameroonian signed a one-year contract to serve as a rifleman in the russian occupation army.
He was then sent to a training center for several weeks and subsequently deployed to the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk Oblast. Approximately on May 12, 2026, Ngouloure Ibrahim Nkite was killed during a “human wave” assault near the city of Lyman in Donetsk Oblast.
The second russian mercenary from Cameroon killed in the russian-Ukrainian war was Tapindjeu Namekong Loique, born on April 15, 2001, also a resident of Douala.
Loique signed his contract to serve as a rifleman in the russian occupation army on March 25, 2026, in vologda. The Cameroonian was a student at michurinsk state agrarian university (michurinsk, tambov oblast, russian federation), where he was recruited to fight in the criminal war against Ukraine.
Like Nkite, Loique spent only a short time at the training center. On approximately April 23, 2026, Cameroonian citizen Tapindjeu Namekong Loique was killed near the town of Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
Thus, from the moment they signed their contracts with the russian army until their deaths in the criminal war against Ukraine, both Cameroonian mercenaries survived for only about a month.
According to data from the DIU project “I Want to Live,” since the start of the full-scale invasion, the aggressor state of russia has already claimed the lives of at least 106 Cameroonian citizens.
As a reminder, Ukraine’s military intelligence previously revealed details of russian schemes to recruit Africans and the kremlin’s harmful information influence across Africa.
The DIU emphasizes that the only real chance of survival in this criminal war against Ukraine — both for foreign mercenaries in the russian army and for citizens of the aggressor state — is to voluntarily surrender.
