Performing the reconnoitering tasks at the observation post, the commander of reconnaissance platoon of 24th separate mechanized infantry brigade Volodymyr Maiboroda along with his subordinates engaged the battle with enemy’s sabotage-reconnaissance group that intended to penetrate in the rear area of Ukrainian troops. The scout perished in battle with occupants.

Fifty-year-old Volodymyr Maiboroda left wife and daughter.

With the aim of commemoration of courageous scout, combat sworn brothers installed the memorial plaque on the place where he perished.
