Nearly Half of Occupation Forces Remains on Right Bank of Kherson Region
Vadym Skibitskyi, a DIU representative, in an interview for “The Guardian” estimated over half of the russian forces that had been stationed on the right bank of Dnipro River were still there. According to preliminary estimates, the total number of occupiers in this area is about 20 thousand people.
“The most recent information we have is the 4th tactical military base has allegedly been transferred to the left bank. The rest are still there, fighting, conducting hostilities with the aim of providing cover for the others to leave,” said Vadym Skibitskyi.
According to the representative of Ukraine’s military intelligence, the invaders are retreating from the second line of defence, to which they were pushed back by the Ukrainian troops at the beginning of October. But they built a line of defence around Kherson — and “time will tell” whether they want to defend the city.
