Special Forces personnel of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine as a part of the Security and Defence Forces defended the last road out of Avdiyivka for a week, inflicting huge losses on the constantly advancing russian assault units.

The DIU Special Forces personnel together with the warriors of the Special Operation Forces, the ‘Dozor’ special unit of the State Border Guard Service, the 3rd separate assault brigade, the 225th separate assault battalion, and the 110th separate mechanised brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine within the framework of the order for the coordinated withdrawal of the main forces secured the evacuation corridor.

During the defensive operation in the Avdiyivka direction, the intelligence men used, in particular, Ukrainian-made armoured combat vehicles ‘Sikach’ and ‘Kharakternyk’, which are pictured. They have demonstrated themselves in combat conditions at the right level.

The Special Forces personnel are currently holding defensive positions in pre-prepared positions to prevent further enemy advance.
