Major General Kyrylo Budanov, the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, gave a long interview to the YahooNews.

“As of today, russia has no military, economic or political potential to create another attempt for a serious offensive anywhere in Ukraine,” the head of military intelligence Kyrylo Budanov said.

According to the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, besides that, an aggressor country russia is completely capable of waging serious defensive operations, and this is the very problem Ukraine is about to face.

Kyrylo Budanov also said that russia is trying to accumulate certain stocks of missiles in order to try to disrupt the Ukrainian offensive.

“But the truth is that the russians have taken their stocks of missiles almost to zero,” the head of Ukraine's military intelligence noted.

Kyrylo Budanov compared the hostile mercenary fighters of the so-called "PMC" with the soldiers of the aggressor's regular army, saying that the Wagnerites have much better training. In addition, the founder of the 'Wagner' group prihozhin uses the huge losses of his mercenaries in the war to conduct a political campaign:

“His political future is directly linked to his physical survival because there are too many forces in the russian federation who want to eliminate him. He obviously will try to defend himself because for him it’s not even an issue of exile or prison; it’s an issue of life and death,” Kyrylo Budanov said.

Answering a journalist's question about the alleged involvement of Ukrainian special services in the liquidation of a number of russian public apologists for the war against Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov refused to confirm or deny this information: "Don't continue with this topic. Everything I will comment on is that we have been killing russians and we will keep killing russians anywhere on the face of this world until the complete victory of Ukraine," the DIU chief underlined.  

At the same time, Kyrylo Budanov recognised that the russian federation knows how to work in the information space. That is why any event - such as an imaginary rocket attack on the kremlin - they will show as a victory for russia, claiming that they have prevented ‘the biggest catastrophe to mankind’.

“It sounds like a joke, but indeed, russian society is accepting of such stupidities,” Major General Kyrylo Budanov explained.
