This was stated by Vadym Skibitskyi, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
“In the next 2–3 months, there will be active hostilities. Both offensive and defensive because our strategic goal is the liberation of all our territories. russian troops will try to accomplish those tasks to report whether they have completed their 'special military operation' or not," said the DIU representative.
According to his assessment, in the near future the russians will not be able to reach the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, which remain one of the enemy’s goals.
Vadym Skibitskyi has described the difficulties of the aggressor state as follows: russia tries replenishing the personnel that was liquidated on the war but the scale of covert mobilization is not the same as it was in autumn of 2022. At the same time, the terrorist moscow has more serious problem:
“The enemy is trying to arm all new units very quickly. This does not succeed. […] The problem is not only in people but also in modern weapons, but not those which are keeping in russia’s stocks after the collapse of the soviet union. It needs a lot of investment to bring it to normal combat,” the DIU representative explained.
