“Aggressor Wants to Seize Territory but He Understands that Will Lose”
Russia is planning next wave of mobilization and offensive in order to seize new territories of Ukraine. However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are ready to repel the offensive and at the same time for further liberation of the Ukrainian land.
This was stated by Andrii Cherniak, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, in a comment to Suspilne Movlennia of Ukraine (Public Broadcasting of Ukraine).
According to him, aggressor, undoubtedly, wants to seize new territories but he understands that will lose.
“They understand that lose and an evidence of this may be construction of fortifications both in Zaporizhzhia region, in the south of the occupied Kherson region, and in the north of the temporarily occupied Crimea. In other words, they clearly understand that they will have to conduct operations and they are already building defensive constructions,” Andrii Cherniak said.
The representative of Ukraine’s military intelligence added that it is impossible to discover the precise plans of the Ukrainian offensive at the moment, however, according to him, “there are tasks of the Supreme Commander and plans of the Armed Forces to liberate the Ukrainian territories.”
Ukrainian intelligence’s representative noted that the mobilization that, according to the DIU data, russia should announce on January 15, will not prevent the Ukrainian servicemen from conducting offensive operations.
