March 8 is used to be celebrated as a women's day in our country. But, more than 70 years already, this day has been a holiday for real men, who served or are still serving in the glorious military unit – the 54th separate Guards reconnaissance battalion of the Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The first baptism of fire for the battalion, established in the "fierce" 1943, became the notorious Kursk Battle. During the years of war, the battalion was frequently encouraged by the higher command for the courage and bravery of its personnel.

Today, the descendants of the Second World War winners try to enrich combat achievements of the glorious battalion, because the motto of the 54th sep recon bn – "For life till the death" has become a real creed for its personnel.

Since the beginning of the Russian armed aggression, the battalion's personnel have participated in resisting to it. A great number of scouts was awarded state awards during the last time. Unfortunately, the 54th sep recon bn has also suffered combat casualties in the fight against the Russian terrorist formations.

We sincerely congratulate the personnel of the 54th separate Guards reconnaissance battalion on the anniversary of the military unit and wish further success in the name of our Motherland – Ukraine!
