On September 1, International Atomic Energy Agency Mission Will Arrive at Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant Despite Occupiers' Efforts to Prevent This VisitThe mission of International Atomic Energy Agency, headed by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, is to arrive at the Zaporizhzhia NPP on September 1 in order to assess the situation at the plant and establish a permanent representation. The route to bypass the plant is being agreed with the emphasis of the IAEA representatives on the objects damaged by shelling.

Currently, the possibility of the IAEA mission's arrival at the station is constantly complicated by destructive actions on the part of the occupying administration of the satellite town of the Enerhodar and the plant itself. In particular, the provocative shelling of both the plant itself and the possible routes of arrival of the IAEA representatives does not stop. The plant employees are subjected to devastating repression. Some of the employees, whom the occupiers consider insufficiently ‘trustworthy’, have disappeared. Their fate and current whereabouts are unknown. Some of the employees who for various reasons agreed to cooperate with the occupiers, and the specially prepared "extras" should give the members of the mission the impression of full support of the local residents for the occupiers' actions. Currently, Russian technologists are working with them to work out the scenario and create the necessary ‘picture’ for the kremlin.

In this regard, we call on the world community, all authoritative international organizations and governments to contribute to the effective and objective work of the IAEA mission at the Zaporizhzhia NPP. During the work of the mission, all the circumstances that led to the emergence of a dangerous situation that could lead to an accident at Europe's largest nuclear facility must be clarified. The IAEA mission at the plant should complete with the creation of a permanent representation of the organization at the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

The territory of the plant must be immediately demilitarized. After that, a 10-kilometer security zone and a protected transport corridor will be created, which will deliver the necessary equipment and specialists to the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
