Soon, Reconnaissance Training Center will Appear in Ukraine

As Public Affair Service of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine informed, the training center for the military intelligence began establishing in Ukraine on the basis of 49th separate training reconnaissance battalion, which is located in Starychi village, Lviv region.

It is explained that the main difference between the preparation of personnel in the training center and in the training military units will be that not only specialists of different military specialities will be trained in the center but also units as a whole.

To make an idea a reality, it had to study the relevant experience of the armed forces of the leading countries of the world and to test in practice their training programmes in the military units and reconnaissance units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is planned that training of reconnaissance sections and platoons will be subsequently conducted, and later – of reconnaissance troops. At the end of last stage the center has to be ready to conduct training of reconnaissance battalion at full strength.

The purpose of establishment of this training center in Ukraine – is to provide qualitative improvement of reconnaissance units to perform the assigned tasks.

There have been currently created comfortable conditions for living, nutrition, every day needs and leisure for personnel. Modern training classrooms and electronic shooting range for preparation of specialists of different intelligence specialities have been constructed. Up-to-date technical equipment was delivered.

Also, training grounds for preparation of reconnaissance units and different obstacle courses are constructing.

49th separate training reconnaissance battalion (military unit A4138) – is the training unit of military intelligence of Ukraine which by organizational and staff structure is a part of 184th training center of the National Army Academy of Land Forces of Ukraine. It was founded on 3rd April 2016.

More than 20 reconnaissance men from the personnel are awarded with medals for participation in the anti-terrorist operation in the east of Ukraine.

Within a short period of its existence center has been prepared almost thousand of servicemen of contracted military service and several hundreds of conscripts.

For the first time in Ukraine, it is begun preparing operators of UFVs on the basis of battalion.
