Russian Army is Stepping Up its Forces near Ukrainian Borders
A representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine stated this on the air of “Donbas. Realities” programme.
Vadym Skibitskyi noted that since the 1st December, 2018, the newly created Russian military formations near the state border have gained operational readiness and capable to perform tasks in the territory of Ukraine.
Also, he reported on increasing the aviation component of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukrainian direction. Military aerodromes were rebuilt and modernized. Units, deployed on these aerodromes, were equipped with modern equipment. To gain combat experience, flight crews of the Russian Aerospace Forces were actively involved in combat actions in Syria.
According to the representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, the Russian military grouping, which is based along the state border of Ukraine and in the annexed Crimea by Russia, may be involved in conducting the offensive operations that pose a threat to our state.
