Regional military-patriotic festival under a such name was held yesterday in Zhytomyr Military Institute named after Serhii Koroliov
Main tasks of the event are to instill in children and youth a sense of patriotism, forming the national consciousness and high moral qualities of citizen of Ukraine.
During the festival, fourteen teams of schoolchildren from Zhytomyr region were demonstrating their skills on marksmanship, tactical medicine, weapon handling, history and so on.
According to results of contests in team qualification, teams from secondary schools no. 5 and no. 17 shared the first place; a team from Zhytomyr school no. 30 gained second place and a team from Teteriv school secured third place.
