Perished Countrymen-Reconnaissance men are Honored in Donetsk RegionThe memorial sign was installed on the façade of secondary school #4 in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region to commemorate the former-pupil of this school – warrior of a separate reconnaissance battalion Andrii Ksenchuk. In peace time he worked as a miner. When the Russian aggression broke out he took up arms and protected Ukraine.

AndriiSerhiiovych was posthumously awarded with the order “For Courage”.

“Addressing the parents, I would like to say that today’s honoring is yet another testimony to the fact that your son is a real hero, and it was you who raised such a man who, in spite of the difficult times we all faced, stayed true to the belief: “Who will do it, if not I?””, – noted head of ATO Veterans Association of Pokrovsk district Nataliya Sytnykova in the course of the memorial plaque unveiling ceremony.

It is worth mentioning that in early October the executive committee of Kramatorsk Local Council made a decision to place two more memorial signs on the buildings of local schools where perished scouts-heroes Captain-Lieutenant Mykhailo Horiaynov and Captain Ivan Lytvynov had once studied.
